We Are Open!

I've had several clients ask "What happened with Hairworks?"  For those who don't know, Hairworks was the family salon a few doors down from us here in the Bank of America Plaza.  When I began my usual answer, "Yes, it's a shame they had to close...etc." I was surprised to learn that many people were under the impression the two salons, Moments and Hairworks were affiliated.  I was even more surprised to hear something like "oh, I thought you had closed" from a lot of folks

I supposed I shouldn't be too surprised. After all, it would be easy to assume affiliation in a shopping center with 3 different salons (Moments, Hairworks, & American Male.) And on top of that, Hairworks (originally Gullo's Family Hair Care) WAS opened and operated by me from 1983 through 2006. At that time I sold the business to concentrate on Moments/American Male.

And as anyone who ever played "whisper down the lane" knows, the news of a salon in the Bank of America Plaza closing can easily be confused.   By the way, "whisper down the lane" is the game where one person whispers a story into another person's ear, who in turn whispers the story to a third person, who in turn whispers it to a fourth, and so on until the last person tells the story out loud and it's nothing at all like the original. It's actually a lot of fun.

So, just to clarify - we haven't been associated with Hairworks for several years now.  And I do think it's a shame they had to close.   The salon had a great run. I know many clients of Moments and American Male started out as a client of Hairworks (nee Gullo's) many years ago. I just want to say thanks for sticking with us over the years and know we will continue to serve you to the best of our ability for many years to come!
