Introducing Stephanie Dell

Our latest New Talent is ready to rock your world!
I am pleased and proud to announce the addition of Stephanie Dell to our award winning hair department. Stephanie has completed our in-salon training program and you can now schedule services with her through our New Talent program.
You may already be familiar with our New Talent program, but if not, here it is in a nutshell: Even though a new stylist like Stephanie is technically certified to perform services up to our Moments standards, she is still new. In order to keep her (and our other New Talent stylists) busy, we offer "New Talent" services at reduced "New Talent" prices. Currently, we have two New Talents in our program here at Moments, Stephanie and Brittany.
Stephanie has been a level one assistant here at Moments for the last eight months, so you've probable seen her helping her teammates and some of you may have even had her finish your blow dry or apply your hair color to help keep us on time. From now on, Stephanie will be available to help with all of your hair care needs from start to finish!
In addition to being a VERY talented young stylist, Stephanie is also an accomplished dance instructor at her parents studio, Dance Craze, in Marlton, NJ.
It pays to send us your friends!

Moments Referral Program is a great way to save money!
Did you know that getting your family and friends to try Moments not only makes you a hero in their eyes (for turning them on you your favorite Salon & Spa), but it pays too! Our StylePOINTS program rewards loyal clients for a lot of things (click here for more info), but above all else, our rewards program is designed to reward you for sending us new clients. Referrals are the best way for us to grow, and rewarding our existing clients who already love us with points seemed like a win/win to us!
So how many points do I get? How can I redeem them? I can just hear all the questions! You receive 10,000 points (worth $10!) each time a new client tells us you sent them - pretty cool, huh? Redeeming is pretty easy too - points can be redeemed (with certain restrictions, again click here for the fine print), once you have accumulated enough points to purchase any service or retail item in full. That's it.
We even have a pretty cool tool for you to use to help earn all the points you can. Next time you are in the salon, ask us for some of our referral cards to keep with you. They are handy, and you can give them out to anyone at all. Not only will you receive the points when a friend uses the card, but the card itself acts as a nice $25 coupon so new client will save money too! Now the deal is a win/win/win! You can also download and print or email our referral card by clicking here - so if you have a lot of friends you may never have to pay for salon or spa service again!
When is an Hour not an Hour?

When it's only 50 minutes!
I'm not sure when the practice started, but I think it was with the mental health professionals back in the 70's when a "one hour" appointment became 50 minutes. Ostensibly the patient received 50 minutes of counseling plus the counselor spent an additional 10 minutes updating the patients notes and records.
This practice has crept into the spa industry as well, with many spas offering 50 minute massage services (so the therapist has time to change the sheets, sanitize the room, etc...) and still schedule a service every hour. Once you subtract time for dressing, undressing, and a brief consultation, the time allotted for the actual massage could be as little as 40 minutes. And that assumes you didn't hit traffic and arrive a few minutes late for the appointment.
At Moments, we do things a bit differently. First of all, a one hour Full Body Massage (our most popular massage service) is a full 60 minutes with the therapist. We actually reserve an additional 15 minutes for the whole clean up process - it doesn't come out of your time.
We also offer a 45 minute and 30 minute massage service (at a reduced price) but our therapists will most likely encourage you to focus on one specific issue rather than attempt to massage the entire body due to the shortened time frame. And we still reserve an additional 15 minutes after each service to turn the room.
When comparing massage services, always make sure you are getting what you paid for. Check the timing as well as the price!
So schedule a massage service today (in these stressful times it is no longer a luxury) and, as always, thanks for being our customer!

Moments New Talent Program

Great service, great price!
I've had several questions lately regarding Moments New Talent Program, especially since New Talent Nail Technician Jordan had joined our team.
At Moments and American Male new young talent is our lifeblood. Without a steady stream of new highly qualified hair, nail, or spa technicians our company would never grow! And being in the fashion industry, younger staff members help keep the salon current and full of energy.
Newly hired staff go through our in-salon training program and are then certified to perform services once he or she has demonstrated the skill necessary to perform up to Moments or American Male standards. This is true whether the new hire has had previous salon/spa experience or if we are their first employer.
So, what's the New Talent Program? Even though our new hires are technically certified to perform service up to our standards, they are still new. In order to keep them busy, we offer "New Talent" services at reduced "New Talent" prices. Currently, we have two New Talents in our program here at Moments.
Brittany Roosa is a stylist in Moments award-winning hair department. Presently, she has been certified to perform men's and children's cuts as well as women's Blow Dry Styling. You'll often see her helping her teammates and you may have even had her finish your blowdry to help keep us on time. If you have met or had Brittany style you hair, you know that I'm not exagerating when I say she is a bright, talented new stylist who is a great asset to our salon. Brittany has just about completed her in-salon training, and will soon be certified to perform Women's Cuts and all haircoloring services. Way to got Brit!!!

Our newest teammember is New Talent Nail Technician, Jordan. Jordan has been trained and certified to perform Moments Manicure AND Pedicure services. She is a friendly, delightful person and a great addition to our nail department. Welcome Jordan!
So, to make a long story short, please consider scheduling your next cut, style, manicure or pedicure with one of our New Talents. You'll receive the type of quality service you've come to expect from Moments, you'll be helping a great young talent gain valuable experience, and you'll save money doing it!
A complete list of New Talent Services and Pricing is available on our service menu. at the bottom of the page.
Till next time, take good care and thank you for being our customer!

We Are the World Then and Now

Which do you like best?
With the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti (believe it or not, it's already been a month), we have seen an out pouring of charity events to raise money. I actually visited Haiti a couple of times back in the '80's, and I can say first hand the the Haitian people were some of the nicest, kindest people I've met anywhere, and are so deserving of our help.
After seeing the new "We Are the World" video created by today's music stars, I decided to find the original video to see how it compared. Of course with YouTube, anything is possible so here are both videos. Enjoy, and please condider donating.
If you'd like to comment on your favorite, or share why you think today's stars are the best or why the '80's were cooler, or how funny (and young) everyone looked back in the day, or any thoughts at all, please email me at MomentsTeam@hairone.com. Who knows, you may just end up in the next blog post!
